How to book your Lorry Driver Training

Step by step guide to obtaining your Provisional Entitlement

  1. You must hold a car driving licence and be over 21 years of age;
  2. Contact our training centre on 01392 426242 to obtain an information pack or e-mail your request to transplantltd@btconnect.com;
  3. Arrange for a medical examination with a doctor. Take the Medical Examination Form (D4) provided with our information pack to the medical;
  4. Complete the application Form (D2);
  5. Send the application and medical forms to DVLC, Swansea with your existing licence;
  6. When you receive your provisional entitlement, contact our office on 01392 42 62 42 to arrange your FREE driving assessment. You will be introduced to one of our qualified instructors who will assist you when you drive the lorry at our training centre and on the road. Assessments with trans plant mastertrain are FREE OF CHARGE and there is no obligation.

When you book your LGV training with trans plant mastertrain, we will make all the arrangements regarding both your theory and practical driving tests with the Driving Standards Agency. The theory test fee is £32.00 and the practical test fee is £105.00. Saturday tests are £137.00. There is no VAT on LGV tests. Note: You are required to have passed the LGV theory test before taking the practical test. Theory books and hazard perception CDs can be purchased from our office. You are welcome to take a FREE computer mock theory test at our training centre.

We are proud to offer our excellent training facilities in Exeter, Devon. These include an extensive flat tarmac area with road markings, reversing area markings simulating the driving test centre.
You have full use of our rest room lunchtime or there is a restaurant on site if preferred.
We have ample parking available at our centre and we can offer a choice of accommodation close to the centre.
