UNIQUE OFF ROAD TRAINING AREA CLOSE TO TEST STATION

Our head office at Marsh Barton, Devon, is sited next to our training facilities which includes an off-road lorry training area, a purpose built fork lift truck training area, conference, class and rest rooms, restaurant and ample parking for clients and visitors. Where else can you find such training facilities and without having to travel huge distances from the test area?

MOBILE PLANT TRAINING SITE

We also have a mobile plant training site situated on the outskirts of Exeter. Within this training ground we have permanently sited a groundhog unit and classroom supplying you with comfort and all your domestic needs.

Working with the Freelance Team we can also provide CSCS and CPCS online health and safety tests here at Marsh Barton in Exeter.

QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED STAFF

Our mobile training service is manned by a team of qualified and experienced instructors offering training predominantly in the south-west. We also cover training throughout the UK as well as international locations. Courses include QCF, CITB training and Driver CPC courses, and alongside our construction plant training a wide range of vehicles are catered for such as LGV (HGV) vehicle training and articulated lorry driver training.

We believe good training and fair assessment is the key to safety, accuracy and efficiency.

DRIVER CPC

As an approved centre under the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT), Trans Plant Mastertrain is able to deliver training at their fully-equipped site in Exeter and at customers' suitable sites throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Avon and Bristol, the West Midlands and Wales.

DID YOU KNOW!

If you passed your car test (Class 'B') after 1st January 1997 you are required to pass an additional driving test if you wish to tow a trailer over 750kg MAM.

B+E Training (Car and Trailer)

We can now offer B+E Training using our own car and trailer or alternatively you can supply your own vehicle and trailer.

Our excellent off-road training facilities in Exeter allows us to reflect that which is conducted at the Driver Standards Agency test.  You can practise the reversing, braking, uncoupling-coupling exercises.

Our training centre is situated at Marsh Barton, which is just a few blocks away from the DSA B+E (car / van and trailer) test centre. This allows you to maximise your training time by utilising the test routes as soon as you leave the training area.

One of our experienced and skilled instructors will progressively assess and train you by building confidence and will support you right down to taking you to the test centre.

DURATION

The average duration of a B+E or C1+E training course is 3 days but this depends on your particular requirements. Courses can be adjusted to suit individual needs. This is generally carried out on a 1:1 trainee / instructor ratio but we can adjust the duration of the course to suit 2:1 trainee / instructor ratio.

Initial Driver CPC

We are pleased to offer 2 extra training days for the Initial Driver CPC tests (Case Study and Demonstration).  This training is based at our Exeter training centre and covers all the aspects of the new theory and practical tests (beginning on 10th September 2009). You will be supplied with various information and handouts relevant to these tests.  There will also be the opportunity for you to use the comprehensive vehicle check list and also to get to grips with a selection of load restraint systems, including ropes, chains, straps, pullers, etc in preparation for the new requirements.  Our job is to make it as easy as possible for you to pass these tests.

Periodic Driver CPC

We can now offer a range of training modules to meet the requirements of periodic Driver CPC over the next 5 years.  We are able to provide relevant training for the needs of individual customers.  Contact us for the latest list of modules available.
